Satan's Lies the Church Buys - Part IV - Doctrines of Demons

Doctrines of Demons

2 Peter 3:13-18 (KJV)
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

This is my latest installment in this series, "Satan's Lies the Church Buys". There always seems to be deception and lies waiting around every corner when you're a Christian. I've drawn up a list of lies that I received as a Christian that were told to me by my Pastors.

Some of these I believed without question, until the Lord showed me differently through His Word. Some I never did believe just by knowing the Scriptures, and instinctly knew right away the doctrines being taught were wrong. Some I wasn't so sure about, even knowing the Scriptures, because the lies are so subtle that I may not have recognized immediately they were wrong doctrine until investigating the scriptures further.

Now I'm sure the Pastors don't intend to deceive. I believe they were deceived themselves. But, that's where I'm a little confused, because if God shows me that these doctrines are wrong, why don't the Pastor's realize this? Have they gained such pride that they no longer have a teachable spirit? Do they have to believe these teachings, because if they don't they will not be able to Pastor for their particular churches anymore? If this is true, this would be a man pleaser, rather then a God pleaser. God will not except this as an excuse for deceiving his beloved sheep.

I wonder though, are they really that ignorant, or not? All I know is, if not, they'll have to be the one's to give account for their actions, and everything wrong they've taught in their lives to the sheep, come judgment day. And if I were to teach something knowing it were false, I would be shaking in my boots. I would not want to meet the Lord come judgement day? There are no excuses!

One reason I believe the church is so easily deceived is because the sheep do not read their Bibles. The Word of God is His love letter to us. This is how we draw close to Him, and have a relationship with Him. Something He desires of us. So many believers will to to church on Sunday, some toting Bibles. They will follow along with their Pastor's teachings on Sunday morning, and won't read another word until they do it all over again the following Sunday.

We have to remember that the man up on that pulpit is just that, a man. He is as fallible as any other man. In John 16:13 the Lord tells us, "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth . . . " The Spirit will guide us into all truth. Not a Pastor, or Rabbi, or any other Bible teacher. We need to be as diligent as the Berean's were.

Acts 17:10-12
10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.

We are told that these men and women, "were more noble than those in Thessalonica". Why? "They received the word with all readiness of mind". They had teachable spirits. They weren't closed minded. But they also, "searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." They made sure what they were being taught by Paul and Silas matched the scriptures. Remember, they didn't have the New Testament at the time. It wasn't written yet. They only had the Old Testament.

And that is what we need to do. Search the scriptures daily whether the things we are taught are so. Even if the Bible Teacher goes through scripture at the service. You have to be more diligent and make sure he brought out every point. It's very easy to pick a scripture here, and pick a scripture there, and make a doctrine out of it. That is EXACTLY how the Pre-Tribulation Rapture Doctrine was created. I do have a page written on that. Please go here to read it.

Some of the things on the list below you may agree with, and therefore change your opinion. And some you may not agree with. However, I will show you scriptural proof that they are wrong. But, again, go back and "search the scriptures, whether these things are so." Don't just accept my word. Do your research.

Yeshua said, "Come now, and let us reason together . . .", in Isaiah 1:18. So, let us reason together. I only ask that you keep an open mind, and a teachable spirit. I have witnessed where people have such a staunch opinion, because they have been so indoctrinated, that even with proof staring them straight in the face stating otherwise, they will not believe.

Just remember this warning . . . the devil incarnate, Adolf Hilter said, "tell them enough times a lie, and it will be truth to them eventually."

"Once saved, always saved"

There are many scriptures on this subject, all stating the opposite of this doctrine. I have a page on salvation. If you'd like to check it out you can find it at  Is There Any Hope.

Salvation doesn't come by just saying a simple prayer and then you go on your way to do what ever you want. You'll see at my Salvation page, I am honest about the salvation issue. It is not for wimps. Below are some scriptures to prove it. If you believe the dangerous doctrine of "once saved, always saved", read the scriptures below. For the most part, they speak for themselves. They will scare you straight, and you will realize, this is no game.

Matthew 25:14-30 (KJV)
14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Luke 13:23-27 (KJV)
23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

Matthew 7:20-23 (KJV)
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Luke 13:4-9 (KJV)
4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Matthew 25:1-13 (KJV)
‪The Parable of the Ten Virgins‬
25:1 Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
25:2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
25:3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,
25:4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
25:5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
25:6 And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!'
25:7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
25:8 And the foolish said to the wise,
'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.'
25:9 But the wise answered, saying, 'No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.'
25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, And those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
25:11 Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!'
25:12 But he answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.'
25:13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

There is a wonderful teaching on this subject here, or view the video below. The parable of the Ten Virgins is one of the most haunting of all the parables Jesus taught. There is no doubt it is a heads-up and a warning about a coming dark night, a period of trial and tribulation. The main message is that operating in the strength of our own resources ALL of us will burn out. And when the trials come in the latter days we shall be unable to go on without God's Holy Spirit, an external resource beyond our own self-life. Within ourselves we do not have what it takes. Without God we can do nothing. And when the trials come the independent soul will fall away in a state of spiritual burnout. Only in the Holy Spirit of God can we expect to journey through a black night and beyond to meet the Bridegroom as He returns to this earth in the coming Apocalypse. The wonderful audio for this video was graciously supplied by a ladies group in the Calvary Chapel, Downey, California. It was recorded for a ladies retreat.

Luke 12:45-47 (KJV)
45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

Revelation 2:16-17 (KJV)
16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

Revelation 3:1-6 (KJV)
1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Revelation 3:10-11 (KJV)
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Revelation 3:15-16 (KJV)
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

2 Peter 3:17 (KJV)
17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV)
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

2 John 1:8 (KJV)
8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

I have grouped these together since they are basically all regarding the Ten Commandments:

"The Sabbath was changed
from Saturday to Sunday"
"We're not under the law anymore,
we're now under grace."
"The Law (Ten Commandments)
was nailed to the cross."
"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."
2 Timothy 4:3-4 (KJV)

Instead of writing about these doctrines myself, I decided to direct you to others websites. I found a couple awesome ones that explain why these doctrines in the Christian faith are false. I felt each of the following websites did an extremely awesome job with their interpretations of the scriptures. I also thought they probably had done a better job at explaining things then I ever could.

However, I do want to point out that I did notice one thing. If Christians do not know the Old Testament throughly, either by being taught by a Shepard, or researching yourselves, they will completely misunderstand the New Testament. Ministers of the Gospel need to preach the Old Testament to their flock much more in depth. If your preacher is not doing so, then pick up your Bible on your own and study for yourself. This is how you learn to discern the truth. By knowing the Word of God. For the Spirit of God, which is the Holy Spirit, will bring you into all truth, if you are serious.

When we don't know His Truth as throughly as we should, this will create confusion. This is the very reason why there are so many different doctrines for one single verse. The reason why there is division amongst the brethren.

The Bible interprets itself. Those with false doctrine on these subjects obviously don't understand the Old Testament, or what God did back then, and what's He's doing today.

I found quite a few web sites that did interpret these doctrines wrong. Obviously, I didn't include them here. But, they were adamant about their viewpoint. However, they didn't make much sense when you compare it to other scripture referring to the same subject. For instance, God Himself tells us in His Word that He does not change. If this is the case, why would Saturday worship be changed to Sunday? Why would He throw away His commandments, and nail them to the cross? Oh, He nailed something to the cross. But, it wasn't His commandments.

Have you read through the first epistle of John? In it you will find many references as to how we show our love for God by keeping His commandments. The Ten Commandments are all about love. There are many scriptures regarding these end times that Jesus revealed through John, in the Book of Revelation, that His true followers, His true church, would be keeping the Commandments of God. Not throwing them out, and in all actuality, throwing out the Word of God.

The Book of Revelations reveals to us why Satan is angry with the woman (God's church). It is because we keep the Commandments of God, including the 4th Commandment concerning the Sabbath. And not only that, but we also keep the faith of Jesus Christ. We don't just have faith IN Jesus, we keep the faith OF Jesus. We follow in His footsteps. Jesus kept the Ten Commandments, including the Sabbath Day. And His true church does the same, which is why we are called the saints in Revelation 14.

The most popular phrase I keep hearing with regards to the law of God, and keeping the Ten Commandments are, "I'm under grace now, I'm no longer under the law, so I don't need to keep God's law, the ten commandments." But what is the truth about being under grace and not under the law? Those professing Christians who claim that they no longer need to keep the law of God often quote certain verses from the apostle Paul. One of the most popular verses being in Romans 6:14, "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace." The problem is that the majority of Christians stop right there and ignore the very next verse.

Did you know that Moses wrote a book of ceremonial laws? The commands contained in the ordinances are the laws written in the book of the law by Moses, not the Ten Commandments. A Bible verse that is often quoted to suggest that Jesus abolished the law is Ephesians 2:15 (KJV), "Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; . . . Does this verse say that the law, the Ten Commandments have been abolished? If you take a look at the context of Ephesians 2, you will see that Paul is talking about circumcision, which was one of the laws "contained in ordinances". Besides circumcision, some of the other laws contained in ordinances by Moses are the earthly priestly service, and the ceremonial offering days, plus many others.

Another verse often quoted to suggest that Jesus abolished the law is Colossians 2:14-17, “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.”

Colossians 2:16 gets misinterpreted in so many different ways. And it always has something to do with the relevance of the Sabbath or the Ten Commandments or both. What was Paul saying to the Colossians? Was he telling them all the Ten Commandments were nailed to the cross, and they no longer have to love God with all their heart, might, and soul, and love their neighbor as themselves? Or is Paul saying that the seventh day Sabbath has been nailed to the cross? Go to the websites below and find out. You'll discover wonderful, and above all, truthful interpretations. Pray before you do go, and the Spirit will bring you into all truth.

I start out below with information on the Ten Commandments, or The Law. First is a radio show discussing the Messianic movement and do we seek salvation through The Law. There are a number of excellent websites below the Radio Show that will bring you into the truth of the Ten Commandments, or The Law.

After the subject on the Ten Commandments, or The Law, there is another Radio Show regarding the Sabbath in the Messianic movement. Again, following the radio show, I have more excellent links to websites that discuss the Sabbath. Is it Saturday or Sunday? How was it changed, and a number of other subjects regarding this matter. I hope they help you in your walk with Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah).

Bible Verses "Abolishing" Law Explained
On this page we will explain the truth behind the Bible verses that Christians use to suggest that the law, the ten commandments of God have been done away with and abolished. So many Christians today take small Bible verses completely out of context and don't take in the WHOLE council of God, which is so important to be able to see the truth on topics like the law of God, the Bible's Ten Commandments.

Ten Commandments in End Times Bible Prophecy
Did you know that God's law, the ten commandments are also mentioned in end times Bible prophecy and has a major role to play in end time events? Many Christians fail to realize that God's law is a central figure in the book of Revelation dealing with the end times, and they also fail to realize that the Mark of the Beast is connected to the ten commandments.

Ten Commandments and Cermonial Law ONE Law?

The Ten Commandments

The Ceremonial Law
What actually is this law? How do we know when the Bible refers to the Law if it is talking about the Ten Commandment law or the Ceremonial law (ordinances), which included circumcision, sacrifices, offerings, purifications and holy days associated with the Hebrew sanctuary service? This site is devoted to shedding light on this topic that the devil tries so hard to confuse us on as it can affect our salvation.

Gods 10 Commandments Introduction
Today it is often believed by many Christians that God's Ten Commandments were for those who lived in Old Testament times and do not apply to Christians who are under grace in the New Testament. The Bible has much to say on the subject of law and grace but even though it is true that Christians are saved by grace through faith in Christ, nowhere in the Bible does it say God's laws are not binding upon man. Keeping the commandments of the Decalogue is not the method of salvation, but the fruit of it. Obedience to God is the test of the genuine Christian.

Ten Commandments and Cermonial Law ONE Law?
Many Christians believe that the Bible ten commandments and the ceremonial laws of Moses are one law, and they were all nailed to the cross along with Christ Jesus. Well, let's look at that Bible verse which mentions the law being nailed to the cross

Roman Catholic Ten Commandments Version
Please take careful note that the information presented here was never intended to foster any form of offense towards another person as this would be contrary to Christian teaching and besides that, over the centuries many wonderful people from the Catholic Church have done outstanding missionary and other excellent Christian works. So please do not be offended by the truth that is presented here.

Under Grace not Under Law

Colossians 2:16 introduction
Colossians 2:14-17 “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.”

Never have I a heard a scripture like Colossians 2:16 get interpreted in so many different ways and it almost always has something to do with the relevance of the Sabbath or the Ten Commandments or both. But I have also seen it used to the opposite extremes where some Christians say that Colossians 2:16 is why we must still observe the various holydays and new moon festivals associated with the ceremonial law.

So what was Paul saying to the Colossians? Was he telling them all the Ten Commandments were nailed to the cross and they no longer have to love God with all their heart might and soul and love their neighbour as themselves? Or is Paul saying that the Seventh Day Sabbath has been nailed to the cross?

The Spirit and The Letter
The Bible verses to do with the Spirit and the letter of the law, which the apostle Paul talks about, have been greatly misunderstood, and have been used by many professing Christians as a reason not to keep the seventh day sabbath. The problem is, we sometimes take verses on their own and don't look at the "big picture" of what is being taught. So what is the truth about the spirit and the letter?

Did Jesus Abolish the Law?
Many professing Christians believe that Jesus abolished the law, God's Ten Commandments, on the cross at Calvary. Is this true? Well, didn't Jesus actually say Himself that He came NOT to abolish the law? Let's take a look at that Bible verse . . . Matthew 5:17 . . . 'Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.' . . . So Jesus confirms Himself that His job wasn't to come and abolish the law, but to fulfill. Oh, but He did fulfill the law, so we don't need to keep it. Do you ever hear Christians saying this? Do you think it yourself? Jesus fulfilled the law, so we don't have to keep it?

Ten Commandments Bible Verses
I pray that you will meditate on these Bible verses concerning the commandments of God, and that you will allow God to write His law upon your heart.

An In-depth Look at the Biblical Sabbath
In a culture where businesses are open 24 hours a day, fast food is a regular diet and most families have both spouses working around the clock just to make ends meet, a day of rest is not even on the radar for most Christian households. With the Sabbath being number four in the ten commandments, it is more than important for us to finally answer some of the most imperative questions of our time:
• Does God really care when we keep the Sabbath or how?
• Was the Sabbath really changed?
• Did the early believers keep the Sabbath on the 7th day?
• Does scripture really say that everyone will be keeping the Sabbath in the millennium?
These question and more are answered in what some say is the most comprehensive teaching on the Sabbath you can find!

Messianic Testament: Why Saturday Shabbat
Christopher discusses why Messianics celebrate Shabbat on Saturday and why it is the true Sabbath.

Irrefutable Facts About the Seventh Day Sabbath
Matthew 5:18, 'For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.'

Did Jesus Abolish the Sabbath?
Many Christians today believe that Jesus abolished the Sabbath.  Let's look at the Bible verses that Christians quote to say that the Sabbath Commandment is no longer binding.

WHO CHANGED THE SABBATH TO SUNDAY?
What is the Biblical and historical truth on who changed the Sabbath to Sunday? Where in the Holy Bible is one legitimate scripture clearly stating the Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday?

Sabbath Questions Answered

The 4th Commandment
IF THERE IS ONLY ONE THING YOU READ ON THIS PAGE, MAKE SURE IT'S THE LAST SECTION ENTITLED "WHY THE 4TH COMMANDMENT CANNOT BE CHANGED".

Sabbath Day Bible TRUTH
The Sabbath day is something that Satan hates. Why? Because all true love relationships are built on time, and if he can destroy the day that God set apart for His people to spend quality time with their Creator, then Satan can destroy the relationship. God told His people to "REMEMBER" a certain day. Satan tells us to forget about it!

The Disciples and the Sabbath Day
Many Christians believe that the disciples changed The Bible Sabbath day to the first day of the week in honor of the resurrection of Christ Jesus, and that the New Testament teaches that they started meeting on the first day of the week, our Sunday, instead of the seventh day, our Saturday. We need to let the Bible, the very Word of God be our guide, so let's take a look at the truth of this.

The Sabbath Was Made for Man
The majority of professing Christians today believe that the Sabbath only began when The Ten Commandments were given at Sinai. Is this true?

The Origin of Sunday
To find out the origin of Sunday worship you need to go through some history, as this goes all the way back to ancient times. In the ancient world, 'sun worship' was one of the most common forms of pagan idolatry.

God declared that they "hid their eyes from My Sabbaths." Ezekiel 22:26. Thus ancient Israel shifted from Sabbath keeping to sun worship.

The Sabbath in Prophecy
Is the Sabbath in prophecy? Yes, the Sabbath day is quoted in Jeremiah and Ezekiel, and there is a strong connection with the Sabbath day and the Seal of God in Bible prophecy.

Is the Sabbath Commandment found in the New Testament?
Sabbath keeping in the New Testament
Would you be surprised to learn that during the time the New Testament was being written that the entire Christian Church throughout the known world observed the Seventh day Sabbath? Yet there are Christians who erroneously claim that the Sabbath Commandment does not exist in the New Testament, and therefore no longer has to be observed. This logic is fatally flawed as it is not the absence of something been said or a written record that makes a Commandment of God obsolete. Anything important that changed between the Old and New Testament has always been clearly stated in the Bible. If it is a Commandment of God, then what we need is an unmistakable and extremely clear directive that the Sabbath was abolished or changed to Sunday.

What Day is the Sabbath?
What day is the Sabbath? Has the Sabbath day been changed from Saturday to Sunday?  What is the truth about keeping the Bible Sabbath day?

'Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.  The seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God.'  Exodus 20:9-10

'For I am the LORD, I change not.'  Malachi 3:6

'If ye love me, keep my commandments.'  John 14:15

What Day Did the Disciples Keep?

'And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and verses Christians use for keeping Sunday as the Sabbath day', Luke 23:56

Has the Sabbath been Changed to Sunday?

WHO CHANGED THE SABBATH FROM SATURDAY TO SUNDAY?

Once again, because this page is getting very long, the following false doctrines are discussed on another page:

What does "except there come a falling away first" in 2 Thess. 2:3 mean?
This speaks of either a period of great "apostasy",
or it refers to the "departure", or "Rapture" of the Church.
How do we know which one it is?

Please see my blog list, to the right on this page, for more posts on this subject, "Satan's Lies the Church Buys".
