KUNDALINI & TRANCE-DANCING AS A FORM OF CHRISTIAN WORSHIP

KUNDALINI & TRANCE-DANCING
AS A FORM OF CHRISTIAN WORSHIP

"If Christians were to get arrested for knowledge of the Bible,
they couldn't hold them. There would be lack of evidence."

In the Old Testament God warned the Jewish people about their idolatry and their lack of trust in Him.  In the New Testament the epistles warn us about not falling away from the truth.  Apostasy is a very real and dangerous threat. Apostasy is a rebellion against God because it is a rebellion against truth. Apostasy means to fall away from the truth. Even after all God had done for Israel in the wilderness, they still apostatized.

Exodus 32:1-4 (KJV)
1 And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
2 And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.
3 And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.
4 And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

Exodus 32:7-8 (KJV)
7 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:
8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

Exodus 32:17-19 (KJV)
17 And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp.
18 And he said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear.
19 And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.

If you notice, there was dancing going on. Worship dancing. But, not worship to God, our Almighty King. There dance was pagan dance. Today this is what is going on in the church. We have invited eastern Yoga into the churches, and a Kundalini spirit.

What I have witnessed over the past several years in the Evangelical and mainstream Christian churches, since becoming a Christian, has become pretty obvious to me now. Back then, when I first became a Christian, being a babe in the Lord, I didn't know any better. Although, I can honestly say something never felt quite right in my spirit. But, I believe the Lord had me at the churches I was at was in order for me to witness things going on. Now He has made a Watchman, and a Watchman warns.

There are several doctrines and practices of the Christian faith that are not Biblical. Satan has crept in to the churches, and we've allowed it. Here is the warning, it is time to wake up and kick the devil out.

This is not new. Satan crept into the church and has been twisting scripture since Jesus' time (and even before). Paul tells us we are not to be ignorant of the devil's schemes. As we grow in the Lord and in faith, we should be able to recognize "the angel of light." But, it seems too many Christians are having too much fun to recognize what is happening. Even the Christians in the Pulpits.

We have today "The Seeker Friendly Church". We don't want to say anything that could offend someone because we want to draw people in. If someone gets offended by the Bible, then that's because they NEED to be. It's a conviction of the Holy Spirit!

Don't get me wrong, the Lord wants us to have fun. But, not demonic fun! Especially in His church. The Christians in the Pulpits are the ones the flock turns to for answers. If the answers from the Christians in the Pulpits seem unbiblical, we need to find out. We need to be like the Berean's of Jesus' day, and search the scriptures to see if they are correct. If we find out what they are doing is unbiblical, we must bring it to their attention and warn them. If they do not listen there is not much we can do but run. Run as fast and far as you can.

Actually, the Bible says to "shake the dust off your feet". I have Mark 6, veers 1-13 below because I am going to comment on other parts of this scripture below.

Matthew 10:13-16 (KJV)
13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

When we give someone the gospel and they reject it, we are not to continue to "cast our pearls before swine" (even if that swine is your Pastor). We are to shake the dust off our feet and continue on, because we have done all that God has required of us. We are then not responsible for them. However, it is up to us to tell them, then they have the responsibility to make their own decisions after they know what is right.

The Bible, Christians, churches, and pastors all are under demonic attack. Satan's time is short. We need to be wise as serpents, but gentle as doves. We need to tell people the truth. The enemy is on attack. And we're letting him in. See the videos below for proof of that.

By welcoming Demonic Eastern traditions into our churches, we have invited Satan in. Below I have videos, audios, and articles that have grave warnings. If anything seems familiar to you in your church, heed the warning. Then warn your pastor and preachers. If they do not want to hear you, "kick the dust from your feet."

Matthew 10:16
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves:
be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

Yoga: Kundalini Yoga

by Dr. John Ankerberg and Dr. John Weldon
No discussion of yoga is complete without an evaluation of "kundalini yoga." By name, this is now practiced by tens of thousands of Americans, including many professing Christians in mainline churches. However, since we have discussed kundalini yoga at length elsewhere, we will give only a brief definition here.

In Hindu mythology and occult anatomy, the goddess Kundalini is thought of as a female serpent lying dormant at the base of the spine. Arthur Avalon comments that "kundalini is the Divine Cosmic Energy in bodies." She represents the female half of the divine polarity in man. While lying at the base of the spine, she is separated from Shiva, her divine "lover" and masculine counterpart, who resides in the brain. When aroused by yoga practices, she uncoils, travels up the spine toward her lover, opening the alleged psychic centers called chakras in the process. When the crown or top chakra is reached, the union of Shiva/Shakti occurs, supposedly leading the practitioner to divine enlightenment and union with Brahman. "Traditionally she is known as Durga the creatrix, Chandi the fierce and bloodthirsty, and Kali the destroyer. She is also Bhajangi the serpent. As Chandi or Kali she has a garland of skulls around her neck and drinks human blood."

Kundalini arousal is not, as commonly thought, restricted to hatha yoga practice. Even yoga authorities have said that all yoga is ultimately kundalini yoga and that yoga is meaningless without it. This is why no less an authority than Hans Rieker concludes, "Kundalini [is] the mainstay of all yoga practices."

Kundalini arousal or its equivalent is found not only in yoga; it is also encountered in scores of the new religions, many occult practices, and in some practices of New Age medicine. Indeed, we have found no less than 15 different New Age health techniques in which proponents claim that their methods may arouse kundalini. (Please see our extended discussion in Kundalini Yoga, New Age archives, May, 2001)

The prophets prophesy falsely,
and the priests bear rule by their means;
and my people love to have it so:
and what will ye do in the end thereof?
Jeremiah 5:31

ENERGY PHENOMENA AND SPIRIT POSSESSION

Perhaps the dominant characteristic in kundalini arousal and other yoga practice is an experience of energy infusion, or possession. Gopi Krishna describes the following experiences of most yogic, meditative, and mystical practices. "During the ecstasy or trance, consciousness is transformed and the yogi, sufi, or mystic finds himself in direct rapport with an overwhelming Presence. This warm, living, conscious Presence spreads everywhere and occupies the whole mind and thought of the devotee.…" Furthermore, this energy "is invariably experienced by all mediators and yogis as some kind of supernatural or divine energy."

Not surprisingly, we have yet to read a kundalini or yoga theorist who defines this energy infusion, or possession, as actual demon possession; however, there is often recognition of a possessing god or entity, and sometimes references to the demonic.

The Taoist Master Chao Pi Ch’en observed that "as time passes, demonic states will occur to the practiser [sic].…" Significantly, yogic energy manifestations and possession are sometimes initially sensed by the experiencer as the work of an evil spirit. But this primary impression is "corrected" in accordance with Hindu theory, classifying the phenomena as a "divine process."

But when we examine specific characteristics of kundalini arousal and its energy manifestations, we discover it is far more easily interpreted as a result of demonism than of anything divine.

A perusal of the standard literature reveals the following characteristics:

  • Kundalini energy is admittedly an occult energy;
  • it is personal and supernatural;
  • it can function independently of the person;
  • it permeates and infuses the individual;
  • it can force spontaneous yogic and other actions, including worship;
  • it produces a form of consciousness and personality alteration hostile to Christian faith;
  • it is related to evil pagan gods and deities;
  • it is described as "being possessed" by those who experience it;
  • it is dangerous and destructive not only to human life but to conventional societal values and morality.

In sum, kundalini arousal displays

  • an independent supernatural nature
  • personal volition
  • destructive potential
  • an amoral or evil nature, and
  • a desire for "lordship," that is, the exerting of personal control over the practitioner, forcing compliance.

These facts do not suggest that we are dealing with an impersonal energy. The facts suggest that we are dealing with personal demonic spirit entities whose goal is spiritual deception and personal ownership. Sooner or later, the person who experiences kundalini arousal, experiences spirit possession. A leading guru, Swami Muktananda, reveals that he was violently shaken by a spirit as part of the divine "work" of kundalini within him. "A great deity in the form of my guru has spread all through me as chiti [energy] and was shaking me," and "when I sat for meditation, my whole body shook violently, just as if I were possessed by a god or a bad spirit."

Yogi Amrit Desai warns that unless the experience is interpreted "properly" for the student, "he will become frightened, thinking it to be mental illness"—or "evil spirits." But it gets worse. There is also the phenomenon of mass possession which can occur among disciples gathered to hear the guru. This may end with the disciple finding himself in an involuntarily assumed position of worship of the guru, and, characteristically, worshiping the spirit entity possessing the guru:

... As Amrit led us deeper into meditation, I began to realize that something unusual was happening to me ... Suddenly surges of energy-like electrical charges streaked up my spine ... Suddenly a scream from someone in the back of the room, then another. In a few moments the place was a mad house. People were crying hysterically, laughing uncontrollably, gasping for breath, even rolling on the floor. Apparently every one was experiencing some manifestation of the same energy I was feeling.

(Church does this sound like some of your church services?)

Suddenly the whole thing stopped ... Amrit began to explain what had happened. We had just undergone what is called a shaktipat [power transfer] initiation ... All forms of yoga and consciousness development are aimed at eventually awakening the kundalini force ... The psychic energy is transferred directly from guru to disciple.

Simply by being in Yogi Desai’s presence we had all experienced to some degree the awakening of the Shakti [power]. How this comes about is somewhat mysterious. Yogi Desai explains that the astral body of the guru merges with that of the disciple ... My body filled with a brilliant white light and I allowed myself to be absorbed in it...

When I opened my eyes again I noticed that my body had bent forward; my forehead was touching the floor. I do not remember assuming that position. I was actually bowing down to Yogi Desai! I had never bowed to anyone in my life but some inner unknown force had prompted me ... He was surrounded by persons who only two hours before had never seen him but now sat on the floor around him, holding his feet even kissing his feet...

Consider the following descriptions while under the influence of kundalini and other forms of yoga:

  • I really felt frightened, as the Power seemed something which could consume me.
  • Your mind gets influenced spiritually as if some spirit has taken possession of your body and under that influence different postures of yoga are involuntarily performed without the pain or fatigue.
  • It seemed that I was being controlled by some power which made me do all these things. I no longer had a will of my own.
  • In conclusion, kundalini arousal, like shamanism, typically involves some form of spirit possession or temporary or permanent insanity.
  • Because all yoga has the ability to arouse "kundalini," all yoga should be avoided.
  • To offer it to the public as a form of health practice is highly irresponsible, if not perverse.
  • To offer it to our children in our public schools is a betrayal of their trust.

Deuteronomy 13:1-5
If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams,
and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
And the sign or the wonder come to pass,
whereof he spake unto thee, saying,
Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known,
and let us serve them;
Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet,
or that dreamer of dreams:
for the LORD your God proveth you,
to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him,
and keep his commandments, and obey his voice,
and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death;
because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God,
which brought you out of the land of Egypt,
and redeemed you out of the house of bondage,
to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in.
So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.

New Age KUNDALINI EKSTASIS enters Christianity

New Worship Thing
http://morebooksandthings.blogspot.com/2008/05/new-worship-thing.html

Have you ever heard of a thing called Ekstasis Worship?

“One of the more recent and blatant examples of neo-paganism in the church is Patricia King's endorsement and embrace of trance-dancing as a Christian form of worship that she and Caleb Brundidge, one of her itinerant ministers, called "Ekstasis Worship".

“Ekstasis", and how you can go beyond regular worship and enter into a place of body, soul and spirit where you feel freedom to dance and celebrate your love for Jesus Christ with an all new abandoned level of expression and experience.”

Kundalini at Bethel Church in Redding
This is what they call a "Fire Tunnel".
In this tunnel, people are supposedly getting drunk in the spirit and getting healed. This is not only un-Biblical, it's demonic and no Christian should be anywhere near this. Look up the word, "Kundalini" on You Tube and you'll see what is going on.

Jeremiah 14:14
Then the LORD said unto me,
The prophets prophesy lies in my name:
I sent them not,
neither have I commanded them,
neither spake unto them:
they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination,
and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

May 23, 2009
What a mess we have made! How far off track are we? Even down to the words we use, we are fundamentally flawed in what we are doing! We must BE the Church and stop GOING to church!

Singing and dancing isn't going to get it done. Repenting for THEM out there isn't going to get it done. This is OUR fault because of OUR idolatry and we MUST change and we MUST repent sincerely before the Lord and BE ONE BODY! There is no other way. And we must hurry.

Yoga: Kundalini Yoga
by Dr. John Ankerberg and Dr. John Weldon
http://sheepyweepy.wordpress.com/2008/07/24/radio-interviews-exposing-todd-bentley-and-patricia-king/

From http://www.spiritual-research-network.com/apostasy.html
The following is a small (and far from incomplete) list of apostate movements in the Church today:
• Ecumenical Jihad
• The New Apostolic Reformation
• Apostles with more authority than Scripture
• Word of Faith Positive Confession Cult
• Evangelicals and Catholics Together
• Emerging Church Movement
• Contemplative Spirituality
• Contemplative Prayer
• Catholic and/or Evangelical Mysticism
• New Liberal Postmodern Evangelicals
• Christian YOGA
• Kundalini Energy and Christian Spirituality
• Psychology mixed with Scripture
• Rick Warren's Purpose Driven Peace Plan
• New Age in the Church
• Lying Signs and Wonders
• Alpha Course
• Third Wave Movement
• TBN-ism
• GOD TV-ism
• Evangelical authors who believe in, endorse, teach and promote Panentheism (God-In-All-Things), and more.

All of these movements distort one or more of the Five Basic Essentials of Biblical Christianity.  In doing so, they DEMOTE the Word of God by placing man's opinion, and in various cases, occult revelation above the wisdom and counsel of Amighty God.

If what you believe differs from what the Word of God says, you are in error in your doctrine. There is no person alive today who does not hold to doctrines. They may pretend to be free of doctrine and just "feeling" their way around the world, but they hold to doctrines just as tightly as you and I do. They just don't realized how much they have been deceived by the enemy, by others, and by allowing themselves to be deceived.

THE FIVE BASIC DOCTRINES

  1. The Trinity: God is one "What" and three "Whos" with each "Who" possessing all the attributes of Deity and personality.
  2. The Person of Jesus Christ: Jesus is 100% God and 100% man for all eternity.
  3. The Second Coming: Jesus Christ is coming bodily to earth to rule and judge.
  4. Salvation: It is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.
  5. The Scripture: It is entirely inerrant and sufficient for all Christian life.

The major religions of the world all deny all of these major doctrines. The cults deny one or more, usually more than one and especially the dual nature of Christ. The wolves who pretend to be Christians today involved in the Third Wave, New Wave, New Age counterfeit revival pretend to believe these doctrines but don't let them fool you. By what they teach they also deny one or more of these doctrines, and in fact I have more than one article that proves that many of them deny them ALL by what they teach. These are the most slick and dangerous pretenders of all.

http://christianresearchservice.com/The_Prophetic_Movement.htm
From the Prophetic Movement came doctrines of demons such as:
• man is a "god" or "God;"
• Jesus took on Satan's nature, sinned, and had to be born again in hell;
• God is subject to man's desires and wishes;
• visits to heaven and hell;
• fabricated and lying signs and wonders;
• extra-Biblical dreams, visions, and revelations;
• man-infested manifestations;
• prosperity poverty;
• and one-on-one encounters with angels, Old Testament prophets, New Testament apostles, and "Jesus Christ".

Now as the many movements within the hyper-Charismatic camp merge into one, they bring their own counterfeit gospel, counterfeit spirit, and counterfeit "Jesus Christ," who disguises himself as an angel of light, and is backed by false apostles, deceitful workers--men and women who appear as servants of righteousness. (2 Corinthians chapter 11).

In 2 Timothy 3:12-13, the Apostle Paul lovingly warned Timothy of what to expect from the world and wolves in sheep's clothing: Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.

Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV)
Not every one that saith unto me,
Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day,
Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?
and in thy name have cast out devils?
and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them,
I never knew you: depart from me,
ye that work iniquity.

Satan's Lies the Church Buys - Part V - What does "except there come a falling away first" in 2 Thess. 2:3 mean?

What does "except there come a falling away first"
in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 mean?

"God's greatest concern is not what Christians are falling into but what they are falling away from! Multitudes of Christians - including pastors, deacons, ministry people of all kinds are losing their faith and confidence in the power of Jesus' name! They are turning away from Christ as the answer to everything. They are falling away from a childlike faith in Him alone as the solution to all life's problems. There is a wholesale turning to methods, to psychology, to human expertise, to the philosophies and doctrines of men."
- David Wilkerson, The Great Apostasy!

2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 (KJV)
1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

When I first became born again several years ago, one of the first teachings I received was on the rapture. The evangelicals I "churched" with were all pre-tribbers. At almost every service, the pastor would bring up the rapture. At the very least he would mention at the end of the service how he couldn't wait for the soon return of the Lord. And he'd always mention how that day could be that very day, or the next.

I'm going to have a teaching on how we can know when the Lord will come back. And I am not contradicting the Lord. Yes, He did say that he'll come like a thief in the night, but read a little further. He also said that we (his bride) are not in darkness that that day should overtake us like a thief. We may not know the EXACT hour, or even the exact day. But we can know the season. Even within a few days. The only way to know this, though, is by knowing His word. We must know the front of the book before we can totally understand the back.

Sadly, once again the church is divided on doctrine. This is not a good thing. All we need to do is allow scripture to interpret scripture rather then listen to men. When we listen to men, we become confused and divided. God is not the author of confusion. And if we just take the time to look into His Word, He'll reveal all to us. All we have to do is earnestly ask Him.

In verse 3 of 2 Thess. 2 it states:
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

There are a few trains of thought here. Men believe the term "a falling away" speaks of either a period of great "apostasy", or some believe it refers to the "departure", or "rapture" of the church. Interestingly enough, some even attribute this apostasy more so to the moral declination of the world than viewing its application to Christians turning away from their faith in Jesus Christ. The morality of mankind has been corrupt almost from its beginning. It's obvious it has not become more holy, nor can we view it as such in the future, any time soon. So, I believe we can safely eliminate the third option.

So, how do we know which one it is?

Actually the word "apostasy" cannot be found in the Bible, although many interpret it as such as the original Greek word in that verse is the noun apostasia (of which W.E. Vine's Greek Dictionary states it means "a defection, revolt, apostasy," is used in the NT of religious apostasy; in Acts 21:21, it is translated "to forsake," lit., "thou teachest apostasy from Moses." In 2 Thess. 2:3 "the falling away" signifies apostasy from the faith. In papyri documents it is used politically of rebels. Note: For "mighty fall," Rev. 18:21, RV).

The words defection, revolt, forsake, rebellion and falling away actually project a more defined meaning. One that the apostle Paul is telling us has to be applied to those people who had great faith in Jesus Christ. For those who believe that a Christian cannot lose their salvation once they accept Jesus Christ as their personal saviour, they need to reexamine the fact that they could (and will face) experiences and or circumstances in their future that could very well lump them into that group. I have a teaching on the false doctrine of "Once Saved, Always Saved". You can find it here at "Satan's Lies The Church Buys - Doctrine of Demons".

If you've read any of my other blog pages, you know that I do not believe in a pre-tribulation rapture. However, I am not going to allow my belief in this area to persuade me as to one side or another on this issue. I am simply going to allow the Bible to interpret itself, with a little help from Strong's Concordance. Strong's basically states the same as W.E. Vine's Greek Dictionary. In the original manuscripts, the word used for "falling away" is "apostasia". Below is the definition of the word "apostasia". As you will see it means a "revolt", or "defection", or "forsake". It also says "a leaving, from a previous standing." I have supplied the url link for you to view the page for yourself. In the Greek, it means a "divorce", or "a forsaking". From all these definitions of the word, it leaves no room for error. I can not see where anyone could get the rapture from these.

see GREEK apostasion

(I also looked up the Greek apostasies, and it means divorce, or bill of divorce,a forsaking, spec. (bill of) divorce, certificate of divorce (1), divorce (2).)

Now, with all this proof that "a falling away" means an apostate church, how can anybody get a rapture theory out of it? They are grasping at straws. This is exactly what the Lord originally told us before he said anything else, "Let no man deceive you." And this is exactly why we can't just listen to a preacher, because they can be deceived as easily as anyone else. Please, as I said, don't just read my blog page and believe it. Do the research yourself. We NEED to do our own research. This is exactly why there is so much division in the church. Satan loves to deceive believers. But, God loves to give us Truth.

Again, please don't forget the warning Jesus gave his disciples as he answered their questions about the timing of the end of the world: …"TAKE HEED THAT NO MAN DECEIVE YOU" (Matthew 24:5). "Prove all things, hold fast that which is good" (1 Th. 5:21). Be a Berean (Acts 17:10-11), and search the Scriptures to see if these things be so! If not, please let me know the truth, and I will change it. The Thessalonians did not search the scriptures daily, as the Bereans did. Acts 17:11 tells us "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so."

Now, I said scripture interprets scripture. Let's look at a couple more verses that practically say the same thing as 2 Thess. 2:3. First let's look at Daniel 8:23. I particularly want you to notice the word transgressors. You may think this means non-believers, but, it actually refers to believers who have fallen away from the faith. I have a definition from the Hebrew and Chaldee Dictionary below, along with the url link so you can check it for yourself.

Daniel 8:23 (KJV)
23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

transgressors
H6586. pasha', paw-shah'; a prim. root [rather ident. with H6585 through the idea of expansion]; to break away (from just authority), i.e. trespass, apostatize, quarrel:--offend, rebel, revolt, transgress (-ion, -or).

As you can see above, Daniel 8:23 is talking about an apostate church. If you notice, Daniel 8:23 and 2 Thess 2:3 are saying the same thing. Let's compare . . .

2 Thess. 2:3 (KJV)
Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Daniel 8:23 (KJV)
And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

• In 2 Thess. 2:3 Jesus is talking about the latter time.
• Daniel 8:23 is also talking about the latter time.

• Jesus says in 2 Thess 2:3 that the son of perdition (the Anti-Christ) will be revealed after some fall away (from the faith).
• Daniel 8:23 says when some fall away (transgress) from the faith a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences (the Anti-Christ), shall stand up (will be revealed).

Do you see how they are identical verses, speaking about the same thing? I don't know how it can be any plainer. Let's take a look at 1 Tim 4:1.

1 Timothy 4:1 (KJV)
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Also check out Matt. 24:10, Luke 12:45, 2 Peter 3:3, and 2 Tim 4:3-5. These all speak of believers falling away from the faith. Either because they are impatient for the Lord's return (they believe the pre-trib rapture, which isn't going to happen), or as 2 Tim 4:3-5 says, "For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what they're itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths."

Brother or sister, I hope you will not be one of those that Timothy is speaking of. It's very easy to fall into false doctrine. And there is a lot of it out there. But, is it worth losing your soul over?

Below is a disturbing interview, to say the least. Pam is from Australia and she shines a light on the darkness and exposes the New Age going on in the churches in Australia. But, it also is going on here in America. When the Bible speaks of a falling away, or an apostasy, it also refers to at the same time that some believers will give heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils (1 Tim 4:1). The New Age is definitely doctrines of demons. And, sadly, it has crept into the church big time. New Age and Occult practices could already be going on in your neighborhood church. Please listen and warn others.

The interview below may also help you understand the "falling away" doctrine as well. Lynn Marzulli and Doug Hamp talk about 2 Thess 2:3 in the first part of their conversation. They then discuss Mid-east update as the Russians move war ships off the Syria coast, and more. So, you may only want to listen to the first few minutes, which pertains to this teaching.

Satan's Lies the Church Buys - Part IV - Doctrines of Demons

Doctrines of Demons

2 Peter 3:13-18 (KJV)
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

This is my latest installment in this series, "Satan's Lies the Church Buys". There always seems to be deception and lies waiting around every corner when you're a Christian. I've drawn up a list of lies that I received as a Christian that were told to me by my Pastors.

Some of these I believed without question, until the Lord showed me differently through His Word. Some I never did believe just by knowing the Scriptures, and instinctly knew right away the doctrines being taught were wrong. Some I wasn't so sure about, even knowing the Scriptures, because the lies are so subtle that I may not have recognized immediately they were wrong doctrine until investigating the scriptures further.

Now I'm sure the Pastors don't intend to deceive. I believe they were deceived themselves. But, that's where I'm a little confused, because if God shows me that these doctrines are wrong, why don't the Pastor's realize this? Have they gained such pride that they no longer have a teachable spirit? Do they have to believe these teachings, because if they don't they will not be able to Pastor for their particular churches anymore? If this is true, this would be a man pleaser, rather then a God pleaser. God will not except this as an excuse for deceiving his beloved sheep.

I wonder though, are they really that ignorant, or not? All I know is, if not, they'll have to be the one's to give account for their actions, and everything wrong they've taught in their lives to the sheep, come judgment day. And if I were to teach something knowing it were false, I would be shaking in my boots. I would not want to meet the Lord come judgement day? There are no excuses!

One reason I believe the church is so easily deceived is because the sheep do not read their Bibles. The Word of God is His love letter to us. This is how we draw close to Him, and have a relationship with Him. Something He desires of us. So many believers will to to church on Sunday, some toting Bibles. They will follow along with their Pastor's teachings on Sunday morning, and won't read another word until they do it all over again the following Sunday.

We have to remember that the man up on that pulpit is just that, a man. He is as fallible as any other man. In John 16:13 the Lord tells us, "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth . . . " The Spirit will guide us into all truth. Not a Pastor, or Rabbi, or any other Bible teacher. We need to be as diligent as the Berean's were.

Acts 17:10-12
10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.

We are told that these men and women, "were more noble than those in Thessalonica". Why? "They received the word with all readiness of mind". They had teachable spirits. They weren't closed minded. But they also, "searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." They made sure what they were being taught by Paul and Silas matched the scriptures. Remember, they didn't have the New Testament at the time. It wasn't written yet. They only had the Old Testament.

And that is what we need to do. Search the scriptures daily whether the things we are taught are so. Even if the Bible Teacher goes through scripture at the service. You have to be more diligent and make sure he brought out every point. It's very easy to pick a scripture here, and pick a scripture there, and make a doctrine out of it. That is EXACTLY how the Pre-Tribulation Rapture Doctrine was created. I do have a page written on that. Please go here to read it.

Some of the things on the list below you may agree with, and therefore change your opinion. And some you may not agree with. However, I will show you scriptural proof that they are wrong. But, again, go back and "search the scriptures, whether these things are so." Don't just accept my word. Do your research.

Yeshua said, "Come now, and let us reason together . . .", in Isaiah 1:18. So, let us reason together. I only ask that you keep an open mind, and a teachable spirit. I have witnessed where people have such a staunch opinion, because they have been so indoctrinated, that even with proof staring them straight in the face stating otherwise, they will not believe.

Just remember this warning . . . the devil incarnate, Adolf Hilter said, "tell them enough times a lie, and it will be truth to them eventually."

"Once saved, always saved"

There are many scriptures on this subject, all stating the opposite of this doctrine. I have a page on salvation. If you'd like to check it out you can find it at  Is There Any Hope.

Salvation doesn't come by just saying a simple prayer and then you go on your way to do what ever you want. You'll see at my Salvation page, I am honest about the salvation issue. It is not for wimps. Below are some scriptures to prove it. If you believe the dangerous doctrine of "once saved, always saved", read the scriptures below. For the most part, they speak for themselves. They will scare you straight, and you will realize, this is no game.

Matthew 25:14-30 (KJV)
14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.
 17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.
18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:
25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.
26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:
27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.
28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Luke 13:23-27 (KJV)
23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:
26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.
27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

Matthew 7:20-23 (KJV)
20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Luke 13:4-9 (KJV)
4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?
5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?
8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:
9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Matthew 25:1-13 (KJV)
‪The Parable of the Ten Virgins‬
25:1 Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
25:2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
25:3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,
25:4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
25:5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
25:6 And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!'
25:7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
25:8 And the foolish said to the wise,
'Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.'
25:9 But the wise answered, saying, 'No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.'
25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, And those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
25:11 Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!'
25:12 But he answered and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.'
25:13 Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.

There is a wonderful teaching on this subject here, or view the video below. The parable of the Ten Virgins is one of the most haunting of all the parables Jesus taught. There is no doubt it is a heads-up and a warning about a coming dark night, a period of trial and tribulation. The main message is that operating in the strength of our own resources ALL of us will burn out. And when the trials come in the latter days we shall be unable to go on without God's Holy Spirit, an external resource beyond our own self-life. Within ourselves we do not have what it takes. Without God we can do nothing. And when the trials come the independent soul will fall away in a state of spiritual burnout. Only in the Holy Spirit of God can we expect to journey through a black night and beyond to meet the Bridegroom as He returns to this earth in the coming Apocalypse. The wonderful audio for this video was graciously supplied by a ladies group in the Calvary Chapel, Downey, California. It was recorded for a ladies retreat.

Luke 12:45-47 (KJV)
45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

Revelation 2:16-17 (KJV)
16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

Revelation 3:1-6 (KJV)
1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
6 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Revelation 3:10-11 (KJV)
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Revelation 3:15-16 (KJV)
15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

2 Peter 3:17 (KJV)
17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV)
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

2 John 1:8 (KJV)
8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

I have grouped these together since they are basically all regarding the Ten Commandments:

"The Sabbath was changed
from Saturday to Sunday"
"We're not under the law anymore,
we're now under grace."
"The Law (Ten Commandments)
was nailed to the cross."
"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine;
but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."
2 Timothy 4:3-4 (KJV)

Instead of writing about these doctrines myself, I decided to direct you to others websites. I found a couple awesome ones that explain why these doctrines in the Christian faith are false. I felt each of the following websites did an extremely awesome job with their interpretations of the scriptures. I also thought they probably had done a better job at explaining things then I ever could.

However, I do want to point out that I did notice one thing. If Christians do not know the Old Testament throughly, either by being taught by a Shepard, or researching yourselves, they will completely misunderstand the New Testament. Ministers of the Gospel need to preach the Old Testament to their flock much more in depth. If your preacher is not doing so, then pick up your Bible on your own and study for yourself. This is how you learn to discern the truth. By knowing the Word of God. For the Spirit of God, which is the Holy Spirit, will bring you into all truth, if you are serious.

When we don't know His Truth as throughly as we should, this will create confusion. This is the very reason why there are so many different doctrines for one single verse. The reason why there is division amongst the brethren.

The Bible interprets itself. Those with false doctrine on these subjects obviously don't understand the Old Testament, or what God did back then, and what's He's doing today.

I found quite a few web sites that did interpret these doctrines wrong. Obviously, I didn't include them here. But, they were adamant about their viewpoint. However, they didn't make much sense when you compare it to other scripture referring to the same subject. For instance, God Himself tells us in His Word that He does not change. If this is the case, why would Saturday worship be changed to Sunday? Why would He throw away His commandments, and nail them to the cross? Oh, He nailed something to the cross. But, it wasn't His commandments.

Have you read through the first epistle of John? In it you will find many references as to how we show our love for God by keeping His commandments. The Ten Commandments are all about love. There are many scriptures regarding these end times that Jesus revealed through John, in the Book of Revelation, that His true followers, His true church, would be keeping the Commandments of God. Not throwing them out, and in all actuality, throwing out the Word of God.

The Book of Revelations reveals to us why Satan is angry with the woman (God's church). It is because we keep the Commandments of God, including the 4th Commandment concerning the Sabbath. And not only that, but we also keep the faith of Jesus Christ. We don't just have faith IN Jesus, we keep the faith OF Jesus. We follow in His footsteps. Jesus kept the Ten Commandments, including the Sabbath Day. And His true church does the same, which is why we are called the saints in Revelation 14.

The most popular phrase I keep hearing with regards to the law of God, and keeping the Ten Commandments are, "I'm under grace now, I'm no longer under the law, so I don't need to keep God's law, the ten commandments." But what is the truth about being under grace and not under the law? Those professing Christians who claim that they no longer need to keep the law of God often quote certain verses from the apostle Paul. One of the most popular verses being in Romans 6:14, "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace." The problem is that the majority of Christians stop right there and ignore the very next verse.

Did you know that Moses wrote a book of ceremonial laws? The commands contained in the ordinances are the laws written in the book of the law by Moses, not the Ten Commandments. A Bible verse that is often quoted to suggest that Jesus abolished the law is Ephesians 2:15 (KJV), "Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; . . . Does this verse say that the law, the Ten Commandments have been abolished? If you take a look at the context of Ephesians 2, you will see that Paul is talking about circumcision, which was one of the laws "contained in ordinances". Besides circumcision, some of the other laws contained in ordinances by Moses are the earthly priestly service, and the ceremonial offering days, plus many others.

Another verse often quoted to suggest that Jesus abolished the law is Colossians 2:14-17, “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.”

Colossians 2:16 gets misinterpreted in so many different ways. And it always has something to do with the relevance of the Sabbath or the Ten Commandments or both. What was Paul saying to the Colossians? Was he telling them all the Ten Commandments were nailed to the cross, and they no longer have to love God with all their heart, might, and soul, and love their neighbor as themselves? Or is Paul saying that the seventh day Sabbath has been nailed to the cross? Go to the websites below and find out. You'll discover wonderful, and above all, truthful interpretations. Pray before you do go, and the Spirit will bring you into all truth.

I start out below with information on the Ten Commandments, or The Law. First is a radio show discussing the Messianic movement and do we seek salvation through The Law. There are a number of excellent websites below the Radio Show that will bring you into the truth of the Ten Commandments, or The Law.

After the subject on the Ten Commandments, or The Law, there is another Radio Show regarding the Sabbath in the Messianic movement. Again, following the radio show, I have more excellent links to websites that discuss the Sabbath. Is it Saturday or Sunday? How was it changed, and a number of other subjects regarding this matter. I hope they help you in your walk with Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah).

On this page we will explain the truth behind the Bible verses that Christians use to suggest that the law, the ten commandments of God have been done away with and abolished. So many Christians today take small Bible verses completely out of context and don't take in the WHOLE council of God, which is so important to be able to see the truth on topics like the law of God, the Bible's Ten Commandments.

Ten Commandments in End Times Bible Prophecy
Did you know that God's law, the ten commandments are also mentioned in end times Bible prophecy and has a major role to play in end time events? Many Christians fail to realize that God's law is a central figure in the book of Revelation dealing with the end times, and they also fail to realize that the Mark of the Beast is connected to the ten commandments.

Ten Commandments and Cermonial Law ONE Law?

The Ten Commandments

The Ceremonial Law
What actually is this law? How do we know when the Bible refers to the Law if it is talking about the Ten Commandment law or the Ceremonial law (ordinances), which included circumcision, sacrifices, offerings, purifications and holy days associated with the Hebrew sanctuary service? This site is devoted to shedding light on this topic that the devil tries so hard to confuse us on as it can affect our salvation.

Gods 10 Commandments Introduction
Today it is often believed by many Christians that God's Ten Commandments were for those who lived in Old Testament times and do not apply to Christians who are under grace in the New Testament. The Bible has much to say on the subject of law and grace but even though it is true that Christians are saved by grace through faith in Christ, nowhere in the Bible does it say God's laws are not binding upon man. Keeping the commandments of the Decalogue is not the method of salvation, but the fruit of it. Obedience to God is the test of the genuine Christian.

Ten Commandments and Cermonial Law ONE Law?
Many Christians believe that the Bible ten commandments and the ceremonial laws of Moses are one law, and they were all nailed to the cross along with Christ Jesus. Well, let's look at that Bible verse which mentions the law being nailed to the cross

Roman Catholic Ten Commandments Version
Please take careful note that the information presented here was never intended to foster any form of offense towards another person as this would be contrary to Christian teaching and besides that, over the centuries many wonderful people from the Catholic Church have done outstanding missionary and other excellent Christian works. So please do not be offended by the truth that is presented here.

Under Grace not Under Law

Colossians 2:16 introduction
Colossians 2:14-17 “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.”

Never have I a heard a scripture like Colossians 2:16 get interpreted in so many different ways and it almost always has something to do with the relevance of the Sabbath or the Ten Commandments or both. But I have also seen it used to the opposite extremes where some Christians say that Colossians 2:16 is why we must still observe the various holydays and new moon festivals associated with the ceremonial law.

So what was Paul saying to the Colossians? Was he telling them all the Ten Commandments were nailed to the cross and they no longer have to love God with all their heart might and soul and love their neighbour as themselves? Or is Paul saying that the Seventh Day Sabbath has been nailed to the cross?

The Spirit and The Letter
The Bible verses to do with the Spirit and the letter of the law, which the apostle Paul talks about, have been greatly misunderstood, and have been used by many professing Christians as a reason not to keep the seventh day sabbath. The problem is, we sometimes take verses on their own and don't look at the "big picture" of what is being taught. So what is the truth about the spirit and the letter?

Did Jesus Abolish the Law?
Many professing Christians believe that Jesus abolished the law, God's Ten Commandments, on the cross at Calvary. Is this true? Well, didn't Jesus actually say Himself that He came NOT to abolish the law? Let's take a look at that Bible verse . . . Matthew 5:17 . . . 'Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.' . . . So Jesus confirms Himself that His job wasn't to come and abolish the law, but to fulfill. Oh, but He did fulfill the law, so we don't need to keep it. Do you ever hear Christians saying this? Do you think it yourself? Jesus fulfilled the law, so we don't have to keep it?

Ten Commandments Bible Verses
I pray that you will meditate on these Bible verses concerning the commandments of God, and that you will allow God to write His law upon your heart.

An In-depth Look at the Biblical Sabbath
In a culture where businesses are open 24 hours a day, fast food is a regular diet and most families have both spouses working around the clock just to make ends meet, a day of rest is not even on the radar for most Christian households. With the Sabbath being number four in the ten commandments, it is more than important for us to finally answer some of the most imperative questions of our time:
• Does God really care when we keep the Sabbath or how?
• Was the Sabbath really changed?
• Did the early believers keep the Sabbath on the 7th day?
• Does scripture really say that everyone will be keeping the Sabbath in the millennium?
These question and more are answered in what some say is the most comprehensive teaching on the Sabbath you can find!

Messianic Testament: Why Saturday Shabbat
Christopher discusses why Messianics celebrate Shabbat on Saturday and why it is the true Sabbath.

Irrefutable Facts About the Seventh Day Sabbath
Matthew 5:18, 'For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.'

Did Jesus Abolish the Sabbath?
Many Christians today believe that Jesus abolished the Sabbath.  Let's look at the Bible verses that Christians quote to say that the Sabbath Commandment is no longer binding.

WHO CHANGED THE SABBATH TO SUNDAY?
What is the Biblical and historical truth on who changed the Sabbath to Sunday? Where in the Holy Bible is one legitimate scripture clearly stating the Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday?

Sabbath Questions Answered

The 4th Commandment
IF THERE IS ONLY ONE THING YOU READ ON THIS PAGE, MAKE SURE IT'S THE LAST SECTION ENTITLED "WHY THE 4TH COMMANDMENT CANNOT BE CHANGED".

Sabbath Day Bible TRUTH
The Sabbath day is something that Satan hates. Why? Because all true love relationships are built on time, and if he can destroy the day that God set apart for His people to spend quality time with their Creator, then Satan can destroy the relationship. God told His people to "REMEMBER" a certain day. Satan tells us to forget about it!

The Disciples and the Sabbath Day
Many Christians believe that the disciples changed The Bible Sabbath day to the first day of the week in honor of the resurrection of Christ Jesus, and that the New Testament teaches that they started meeting on the first day of the week, our Sunday, instead of the seventh day, our Saturday. We need to let the Bible, the very Word of God be our guide, so let's take a look at the truth of this.

The Sabbath Was Made for Man
The majority of professing Christians today believe that the Sabbath only began when The Ten Commandments were given at Sinai. Is this true?

The Origin of Sunday
To find out the origin of Sunday worship you need to go through some history, as this goes all the way back to ancient times. In the ancient world, 'sun worship' was one of the most common forms of pagan idolatry.

God declared that they "hid their eyes from My Sabbaths." Ezekiel 22:26. Thus ancient Israel shifted from Sabbath keeping to sun worship.

The Sabbath in Prophecy
Is the Sabbath in prophecy? Yes, the Sabbath day is quoted in Jeremiah and Ezekiel, and there is a strong connection with the Sabbath day and the Seal of God in Bible prophecy.

Is the Sabbath Commandment found in the New Testament?
Sabbath keeping in the New Testament
Would you be surprised to learn that during the time the New Testament was being written that the entire Christian Church throughout the known world observed the Seventh day Sabbath? Yet there are Christians who erroneously claim that the Sabbath Commandment does not exist in the New Testament, and therefore no longer has to be observed. This logic is fatally flawed as it is not the absence of something been said or a written record that makes a Commandment of God obsolete. Anything important that changed between the Old and New Testament has always been clearly stated in the Bible. If it is a Commandment of God, then what we need is an unmistakable and extremely clear directive that the Sabbath was abolished or changed to Sunday.

What Day is the Sabbath?
What day is the Sabbath? Has the Sabbath day been changed from Saturday to Sunday?  What is the truth about keeping the Bible Sabbath day?

'Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.  The seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God.'  Exodus 20:9-10

'For I am the LORD, I change not.'  Malachi 3:6

'If ye love me, keep my commandments.'  John 14:15

What Day Did the Disciples Keep?

'And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and verses Christians use for keeping Sunday as the Sabbath day', Luke 23:56

Has the Sabbath been Changed to Sunday?

WHO CHANGED THE SABBATH FROM SATURDAY TO SUNDAY?

Once again, because this page is getting very long, the following false doctrines are discussed on another page:

What does "except there come a falling away first" in 2 Thess. 2:3 mean?
This speaks of either a period of great "apostasy",
or it refers to the "departure", or "Rapture" of the Church.
How do we know which one it is?
